Today, Dewberry, Henderson, and Jacobs came together to give teachers dedicated time to plan, collaborate, and connect! When educators learn from one another and work together, our students are the ones who benefit most!

🎃 October Whole Group Counseling Lesson: Be a Buddy, Not a Bully! 👻
Our PK–2nd grade students participated in October’s Whole Group Counseling Lesson focusing on bullying prevention!
Students enjoyed a special visit from Spookley the Square Pumpkin, who hatched from under the Unity Tree to teach an important lesson: heroes come in all shapes and sizes! 🎃💛
Through Spookley’s story, students learned what it means to be a buddy, not a bully, and how kindness, acceptance, inclusion, and standing up for others can make a difference.
Our students discovered that being a hero isn’t about how you look—it’s about how you treat others! 💕

🔴 Wearing Red for Dyslexia Awareness! 🔴
All through our school today, a sea of red filled the hallways as our incredible students and staff showed their support for dyslexia awareness!

Wearing red is just a small symbol of the huge pride we have for our students with dyslexia. They work relentlessly, overcome challenges, and bring so much talent and bright thinking to our classrooms every day.

TACO bout a fun week with our 2nd OC in a box: Forney Taqueria! ECSE enjoyed Sombreros and Piñatas with candy bags and colorful decor. 🌮🌮 Students also enjoyed exploring soil, sand, and rocks before the magical rain kept us indoors 🌧️☔️

We did things a little differently this year for our House Reveal! 💙💛❤️💚 With a countdown on the announcements, the excitement built and each classroom celebrated their new Hawk friends as they opened packages to discover their House!

We can’t wait to see these Houses come together for our first House Rally next Thursday! Who will bring the most spirit, earn the most points, and be crowned our first House Champ of the year?! 🏆

Let the House competition begin! 🔥
