Investing in Our Youth, One Opportunity at a Time!

The First Judicial District Juvenile Division was excited to participate in the Wynne High School College & Career Fair!

We enjoyed connecting with students, discussing their goals and future aspirations, and encouraging them to explore the many opportunities available as they prepare for life after high school.

It was a pleasure hearing about their dreams, sharing words of encouragement, and reminding them that their choices today can help shape their tomorrow.

A special thank you to Wynne High School for inviting us to be part of this wonderful event. We are always grateful for opportunities to engage with our youth and make a positive impact in our community.

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’› Our youth are our future, and their success matters!

๐ŸŒŸ FIRST JUDICIAL STAFF SPOTLIGHT ๐ŸŒŸ

๐ŸŽค This Week's Spotlight: Lamont Swanigan

Some people go above and beyond their job description, and Lamont Swanigan is certainly one of them!

As a Juvenile Probation Officer with the First Judicial Circuit, Lamont's dedication extends far beyond the courtroom. Whether he's mentoring youth, building relationships, supporting community events, stepping onto the stage in a play, or serving as the master of ceremonies, Lamont always finds a way to make a positive impact.

Lamont wears many hats, but one thing remains consistentโ€”his love for his children, his community, and helping others. He believes there is a time and place for everything, and he understands the importance of knowing when to lead, when to listen, and when to simply show up for someone.

At our recent First Judicial Circuit Seminar, we had the opportunity to recognize Lamont with a special introduction that highlighted just a few of the many roles he plays.
๐ŸŽฅ This week, we're sharing that introduction with you!

Lamont, thank you for your hard work, dedication, willingness to serve, and the energy you bring to our team. We appreciate all that you do, both professionally and throughout the community!

๐Ÿ‘ Help us shine the spotlight on Lamont Swanigan!

๐ŸŒŸ STAFF SPOTLIGHT: BONNIE BAKER First Judicial District-
Juvenile Drug Court Coordinaton๐ŸŒŸ

This week, we're shining our spotlight on Bonnie Baker! โค๏ธ
Bonnie has a true passion for helping others and believes in the power of education, encouragement, and second chances.

Whether she's sharing her knowledge during a presentation, speaking at a seminar, or providing information to others, Bonnie is always eager to educate and bring awareness to the importance of recovery and the role of Juvenile Drug Court.

She is just as eager to learn as she is to teach! Bonnie consistently seeks opportunities to attend trainings, expand her knowledge, and find new ways to better serve the youth and families she works with.

Beyond the courtroom, Bonnie remains active in her community, using her voice and personal journey to encourage others.
In Bonnie's own words, โ€œUsing my lived experiences to help others find hope in Recovery.โ€ โค๏ธ

That statement speaks volumes about her heart for service and her commitment to making a difference.

Bonnie, thank you for your dedication, willingness to share your knowledge, and the hope you bring to others. We appreciate all that you do!

๐Ÿ‘ Help us show Bonnie Baker some love!

๐ŸŒŸ This weekโ€™s Staff Spotlight shines on Kendle Williams, our Juvenile Probation Officer serving St. Francis County!

Kendleโ€™s love for kids and his community shows in the time and care he gives to our youth. He assists with Delta Pee-Wee Football for children in 3rd through 6th grades and helps with boysโ€™ recreation in conjunction with The Success Program. His involvement helps young people build confidence, learn teamwork, and connect with a positive role model.

Today was a special day for the First Judicial District Juvenile Division as we hosted our first Juvenile Seminar! โค๏ธ

What started as an idea became a room filled with juvenile officers, law enforcement, attorneys, school officials, service providers, and community partners coming together to learn more about the juvenile justice process and how we can better serve our youth and families.

A huge thank you to Judge Kathie Hess for always supporting her staff, encouraging our ideas, and helping bring those ideas to life. Your support and leadership mean more than you know.

Thank you to all of our presenters for sharing your knowledge, experience, and expertise, and to everyone who attended and helped make our first seminar such a success. We truly appreciate you taking the time to join us!

A special thank you to UAโ€“EACC for making your beautiful facility available to us and providing such a wonderful space to host this event.

And we definitely have to talk about the food! ๐Ÿ˜Š A huge thank you to Nick Hess for offering his services and providing an amazing meal. The food was absolutely delicious! And thank you to Tyler Marie Mullins who prepared all of the desserts โ€” they were amazing as well!

Our goal was simple: bring people together, share information, answer questions, and strengthen the partnerships that help us better serve our youth.

We are incredibly grateful for everyone who played a part in making our first seminar a success. โค๏ธ
