We appreciated the opportunity to provide information on the proposed library millage increase.
Good morning! Today, during the Morning Show Interview, Richard talked to Arlissa Harris, director of the Forrest City Public Library. With early voting beginning today, Arlissa wanted to inform everyone of the millage increase city voters will see on their ballots for the library. She said the proposed increase of 1.1 mills, to 3.0, would cost city property owners $1 for every $1,000 paid in property taxes, for upkeep and programming which keeps our local library able to provide a variety of free resources to the community.
Congratulations to those who called in this morning and won meal tickets to the St. Francis County Fair! Those were Ed Wallace, Helen Pendleton, and Henry Moore! Thanks to the St. Francis County Fair for providing those tickets!
