The first part of October has been filled with inner office trainings. We have been educated in First Aid, CPR and AED. (We were unable to revive any of the mannequins).
We also shot less lethal rounds for bean bag training. After looking at the cardboard target, no one wants to get hit by any of those.

Today, Sheriff Allen Fulton swore Detention Commander Brian Egeland in as a Law Enforcement Chaplin. Chaplin Egeland joins Chaplin Bill Sikes for our office. Chaplin Egeland completed his training this summer and we were able to make it official today, at the First Baptist Church. Chaplin Egeland will help with death notifications, peer support, critical incidents and whatever else we throw at him. Congratulations Chaplin Egeland.

Today, our Office, Rosebud County Ambulance and Forsyth City Fire went to Lil Buds Daycare to show the little ones our cool vehicles. Some of the kids really liked it, some didn't and some have no clue what was going on. All the kids got a goodie bag.

Not sure what it is about this summer and all river rescues, but we are on a roll. A little advice, when you get your vehicle stuck, don't invite all of your friends to see how bad they can make the situation. In total, 3 stuck pickups, one side by side and a jeep on it's side. We can't make this stuff up.

This afternoon, Sheriff Allen Fulton and Rosebud County Search and Rescue went to assist Treasure County with an overturned boat in the Yellowstone River. The first report said one of the four occupants was missing. After arrival, all four occupants were accounted for and un-injured. Local farmers were able to transport the victims back to their vehicle, since they didn't want to get back on a boat.
