Congratulations to our 5th Grade Lions for earning the Outstanding Attendance Award for Quarter 1! 🎉

We know life happens. Sick days happen. Appointments happen. Military life happens. 💛 That's why we looked at our overall attendance average for the first quarter. Students who were present 40-42 days helped make this achievement possible. Outstanding job, 5th grade!

Remember, our goal is simple: Get to school whenever you can. If you have an 8:30 a.m. appointment but can make it to school by 10:30 a.m., come on in! Every part of the school day counts, and we want you here learning, growing, and making memories with your classmates. 🦁

Now the challenge is on! Will 5th grade hold onto the title for Quarter 2, or will another grade level rise to the top and claim the Outstanding Attendance Award? 👀🏆

Let's make Quarter 2 our strongest yet. Every day counts! 💙💛

🦁 Our school was roaring with excitement as families joined us for Student-Engaged Conferences!

We loved seeing our Lions proudly share their learning, celebrate their first-quarter growth, and talk about their goals for the months ahead. Thank you to all of our families for partnering with us and taking part in these meaningful conversations. Together, we're helping every student learn, grow, and succeed! 💙💛

If you could be principal for a day, what would you do? 🤔🎉

To celebrate National Principals Month, we asked our students and staff to share what they would do if they were principal for the day, and their answers did not disappoint! 🦁

While the suggestions may be playful, this month also reminds us of the important role principals play in creating positive learning environments, supporting students, educators, and families, and helping every child succeed. Strong school leadership helps build a positive school culture where students can learn, grow, and thrive.

Please join us in celebrating National Principals Month and thanking our principal, Mrs. Thorne, for her leadership, dedication, and commitment to our students, staff, and families. We're grateful for all you do! 💙💛

🦁 Reminder for Lion Families! 🦁

Please remember that there will be no school for students on Thursday, October 22, and Friday, October 23 due to Student-Engaged Conferences.

Our conferences are a special opportunity for students to take an active role in sharing their learning. Students will celebrate successes, reflect on their growth, discuss goals, and participate in meaningful conversations with their families and teachers.

✅ Students should attend with their parent or guardian, as their participation is an important part of the conference experience.

We look forward to partnering with our Lion families and celebrating all the wonderful growth and achievements of our students. See you on October 22 and 23! 💙🦁💛

Our Hall of Heroes display is coming together, and there's still time to be part of this special tribute to the military heroes who have impacted our students' lives!

While there is no school tomorrow or Friday, families attending Student-Engaged Conferences are invited to bring in a photo of a veteran, active-duty service member, or military hero to add to our display.

As you visit the school, you might even catch a glimpse of the Hall of Heroes as we make preparations for our exciting Veterans Day Program! ❤️🤍💙

Help us celebrate the service, sacrifice, and stories of the heroes connected to our school community. We can't wait to showcase the amazing military legacy that makes our school so special!

🧡 Tomorrow is Unity Day! 🧡

On Unity Day, we come together to celebrate kindness. We invite all students and staff to wear orange as a visible reminder that we stand united against bullying and support a school community where everyone feels safe, valued, and respected.

Together, we can make a difference by choosing kindness, lifting each other up, and creating a culture where every student belongs. Let's show our Lion Pride and wear orange tomorrow! 🦁🧡

Being present each day is an important part of student success! To encourage strong attendance habits, students will be recognized at the end of each quarter for their commitment to being at school and ready to learn. Students who achieve Perfect Attendance by being present every school day during the quarter, as well as students who earn Outstanding Attendance through an exceptional attendance record, will be celebrated for their achievement. Recognized students will receive a certificate of achievement and a small prize. We look forward to celebrating our Lions who make attendance a priority!

🏆 Grade-Level Challenge: The Outstanding Attendance Lion Banner
Attendance is a team effort! At the end of each quarter, the grade-level with the highest outstanding attendance rate will:

- Receive the Outstanding Attendance Lion Banner
- Proudly display the banner in their classroom for the entire next quarter
- Enjoy some serious bragging rights as E.A. White's Attendance Champions!

The banner will then be passed to the next winning grade at the end of the following quarter.

📚 Why Attendance Matters
Every day in school is an opportunity to learn, connect, and grow. When students attend regularly, they build strong habits, strengthen friendships, and maximize their learning opportunities.
