The Fort Calhoun Rural Fire District Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evening, October 29, 2026. This will be a public meeting at the Fort Calhoun Fire Station. The agenda for said meeting is available at the home of the Secretary of the District. Board may go into a closed/executive session at any time. If questions, contact the Board Secretary at email [email protected] or evenings call 402-871-2187. Residents of the City and the Rural areas are welcome to attend.

🔥🚒 FIRE SAFETY WEEK! 🚑🧯

Fort Calhoun Fire & Rescue had a great time visiting the elementary school for Fire Safety Week!

Our students got an up-close look at some of the equipment we use to keep our community safe, including:

🚒 Our Aerial Truck
🚑 The Ambulance
🔥 The Smoke Trailer — where students learned how to safely GET LOW AND GO!

Fire safety starts young! ❤️ We love having the opportunity to teach our kids what firefighters and EMS do, what to expect during an emergency, and most importantly — how to stay safe.

A huge thank you to Fort Calhoun Elementary for having us and to our FCFD volunteers who helped make the day possible!
