Welcome Dr. Emma Tracy, Director of Colorado Seed Programs - Colorado State University!
I would like to take this time to share a little bit about myself. I was born and raised in Ft. Collins, Colorado and am incredibly excited to be back in the mountain west. My parents have a farm just north of Wellington, Colorado as well as corn and soy operations in Iowa and Nebraska. I received my B.S. From Colorado State University in Horticulture and my PhD from Montana State University in wheat breeding and genetics. I did a post-doc at Cornell in plant pathology before moving back to Montana as an extension faculty member to oversee 4-H Ag Programming. I then transitioned to managing the Montana Seed Potato Certification Program. Most recently I have been serving as a faculty member at the University of Vermont teaching courses in plant breeding and agronomy.
I am so excited to be back at CSU in a role that combines my professional passions of wheat production and seed certification.
