📚🍔 A Novel Celebration Worth Savoring! 🍔📚

Our Kruse Elementary 5th graders wrapped up their FIRST class novel of the year, Front Desk by Kelly Yang, with a celebration that brought the story from the pages to our plates!
Throughout this incredible journey, students explored the American Dream, perseverance, kindness, and the power of community. To bring those lessons to life, we enjoyed cheeseburgers, a meaningful symbol in the novel, and jasmine tea to celebrate Mia’s Chinese heritage. It was a wonderful opportunity to connect literature, culture, and community in a deliciously memorable way!
💜🍟 A HUGE KRUES COUGAR-SIZED THANK YOU to Red Robin Gourmet Burgers Harmony Road for generously donating cheeseburgers and chips for our students! Your kindness went far beyond filling hungry bellies. You helped turn a great book into an unforgettable experience and reminded our students that community is about showing up for one another!

Great books inspire minds. Kindness brings communities together. And cheeseburgers? Well, they make everything a little better! 🍔💜

A HUGE thank you to our amazing PTO for helping us teachers find our true calling... **scooping ice cream!** 😂🍨 And even better, for supporting our incredible Kruse school community along the way! Our Kruse PRIDE is strong, and we are doing some pretty pawsome things together. We were even honored to work alongside two of our very own Kruse Cougars at Cold Stone! 🐾💜
