Loveland and surrounding communities:
Show up and take a stand against data centers on September 1st! We need to tell our elected officials loud and clear: Loveland does not want - and cannot support - a data center.
This is our first real opportunity to stand up and be heard since the July announcement of a proposed data center at 3800 Wilson Ave (the old Woodward Governor site.) There's a pattern to this song and dance: SouthGate One developer Martin Lind bought the Kodak/Carestream site in Windsor for $3.5 million in February, then flipped it to Global AI in September for an eye-popping $15.6 million.

That facility in Windsor is now stuck in legal battle after being issued a stop work order for violations and it seems the G*I team is playing games with the appeal to hide the details of the Order to Abate.
Look at the data center in Cheyenne, WY that shut down the city’s wastewater for weeks.

Recent reporting says data centers have already TRIPLED the US’s water usage. As we witness devastating fires in Colorado each year due to drought, as we watch thousands of fish die this year in Boyd Lake and Lake Loveland last year, one has to wonder where the water will come from to feed the monstrous, water-guzzling machines.

Studies are beginning on the health risks to humans living near data centers:

Residents living nearby these facilities report noise impacting local wildlife, causing sleep disruption in humans, and ensuring instant loss of property values. The reasons everyday people should be opposed are myriad.
Data centers are wolves in sheep’s clothing and wreak havoc on the communities in which they are built. The promises of jobs and technology and modernization are the traded for environmental destruction. The only ones who profit are the ones making the deals while communities are being ruined. No matter where you land on the political spectrum, we ALL love our water, our landscape, our wildlife. That’s why we live here.
We must not let the billionaires turn Loveland into another speculative tech payout. We have to stand up and say no to ruining our community, killing our wildlife, permanently altering Loveland’s beautiful nature for our children and grandchildren.
Please join us this Tuesday (9/1/26) at City Council and make your voices heard! Let's make sure our community isn't the next in line to be sacrificed for profit!
