The Washington County WIC Program will no longer be traveling to satellite clinics, effective November 1st, 2026. Moving forward, any in-person appointments will take place solely at our main office. This is located at: 1153 Burgoyne Ave, Fort Edward NY 12828

At this time, appointments can be completed in-person, over the phone, or online, as applicable.

: Harkla Recalls Children’s Sensory Swings; The recalled swings’ ceiling hook can separate from its plate, posing a risk of serious injury from a fall hazard. Harkla has received 29 reports of the swing’s ceiling hook separating, including 14 injuries that resulted in two concussions, a broken arm, bumps and bruises. Take charge of your health with Living Well with Diabetes: Pathways to Control Your Blood Sugar.

Washington County Public Health is offering a FREE 6-week workshop for adults living with diabetes, those at risk of developing diabetes, and their family members, friends, and caregivers.

Tuesdays, November 10 to December 15
1:30 PM to 4:00 PM
Washington County Burgoyne Avenue Campus, Fort Edward

Learn practical strategies for managing blood sugar, healthy eating, medication use, exercise, goal setting, problem solving, and preventing complications while connecting with others on a similar journey. Participants will also receive free program materials and weekly incentives.

FOOD RECALL -- WALMART CANNED FRUIT COCKTAIL

Walmart has announced a recall of 15-ounce cans of Great Value brand fruit cocktail with fruit juice from concentrate, which are being recalled because they might contain elevated levels of lead.

The recall involves cans with identifying markers of Lot: 6FCB 04 C2263 BEST IF USED BY: SEP 01 2027.

This month’s WIC-approved food is Nut Butter! 🥜 Nut butters are filled with nutritious fats and are high in protein, making them a great and tasty staple for snacks and meals!

Try creating a fun snack with your choice of nut butter. Make a plate of your family’s favorite fruits alongside a scoop of nut butter as a dip or add a drizzle of nut butter to yogurt or smoothies for some extra flavor! 🍎🥣

Our Mass Food Distribution is TODAY! 🚗💨

We’ll have a great variety of fresh, refrigerated, and shelf-stable foods, including nutritious staples, pantry essentials, proteins, and produce. There will be something for everyone!

⏰ Starting at 2 PM until 3 PM OR until food runs out — whichever comes first!
📍 East Field — 175 Dix Ave., Glens Falls

🚗 DRIVE-THRU/WALK-THROUGH ONLY
Please remain in your vehicle. Food will be pre-packaged, and our volunteers will place the food directly into your vehicle.

👨‍👩‍👧 MAXIMUM OF 2 FAMILIES PER VEHICLE, with a representative from each household. NO EXCEPTIONS.
