At Hobby Elementary, we know that amazing things happen when parents are involved! To celebrate and honor all of our incredible Patriot Parents, we are asking YOU to share pictures of the many ways you are involved in your child's life!

Whether it's reading a bedtime story, helping with homework, enjoying a family meal, attending activities, playing outside, or simply spending quality time together, we want to see it!

Killeen ISD proudly recognizes and celebrates the military families who are such an important part of our school community. Behind every service member is a family whose strength, courage, and sacrifice help make their service possible.

Congratulations to our nominees! Each month, teachers recognize students who embody the character trait of the month. This month, we celebrated students who demonstrated self-direct for the month of October!

Our clever PK squirrels in Ms. Montalvo's class have been busy preparing for the chilly months ahead! As they explored how the seasons change, the students learned exactly how animals get ready for winter. Students even practiced gathering and hiding acorns just like they do in nature! A huge thank you to everyone who sent in acorns—your contributions made this hands-on lesson extra special.

Hobby Tots was full of characters today!

Our little tots enjoyed some Monster Mash balloon fun, read “How Do Dinosaurs Go Trick or Treat?”, and decorated bats and pumpkins with dot paint! We walked the halls to show off our costumes, posed for a few pictures, and enjoyed a snack before wrapping up the morning with our very own mini classroom trick-or-treating!

So many sweet faces and fun memories!

Is your tot missing out on the fun? Although our current Hobby Tots class is full, another class will be starting soon! Keep an eye out for more information—we can’t wait to welcome more little friends!

What an amazing Thrills, Chills, and Reading Skills event tonight! Our Patriots came out, and our halls were filled with reading, games, families, and laughter—just the way we like it!

A huge thank-you to our grade-level teams for working together to create such a fun and engaging experience for our students and families! Your creativity and teamwork made tonight special!

Thank you to our families for spending your evening with us, and a special thank-you to everyone who donated to help make tonight a success. You are the heart of Hobby, and we appreciate you!

Come in costume or as you are and enjoy reading, treats, and fun throughout our grade-level hallways. Be sure to stop by the Book Fair, visit our counselors in the café, and check out the Memorial Library information table!
