We just posted the podcast interview with Paul Doiron, bestselling author of the Mike Bowditch series of crime novels, featuring a Maine game warden and set largely in the woods and communities of Maine. Paul is also a former editor-in-chief of Down East magazine and a Registered Maine Guide.

Joining him for the conversation is veteran journalist Beurmond Banville, who spent 36 years reporting for the Bangor Daily News and has spent much of his career telling the stories of northern Maine and the St. John Valley. Enjoy!

On Thursday, our intrepid Les Amis de la Bibliothèque Publique de Fort Kent set up an information table at the Bengel's Lair of the University of Maine at Fort Kent. Students signed up for library cards, enjoyed some treats, and heard about the many services and programs the public library offers. Les Amis member Kelly McCuen showed off her crafting skills by making several wrapped and decorated packages containing a mystery book that students could take with them. Sara Best, Dana Appleby and Annette Sirmans joined in manning the table across the afternoon.

At our last Children's Story Time, our culinary entrepreneur Sean Russey brought a generous brunch treat from his restaurant, Le Fumior. Kids enjoyed slider hamburgers and sweet cinnamon treats. We at the library are grateful for the support of hardworking folks like Sean.
