Applications are open for the FY27 𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐬 & 𝐂𝐮𝐥𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐩𝐞𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐦, offering eligible nonprofits, businesses and municipalities up to $50,000 for established events and up to $25,000 for new and emerging events. Apply early while funding is available!

You’ll even get a behind-the-scenes look with Slow Burn Theatre Co. as they load in for their upcoming production of Come From Away, giving you a peek at what it takes to bring a show to the stage.

Arts Launch Broward is almost here! 🎨🎭✨ Get October 4 on the calendar because we’re kicking off a new season of arts and culture with a FREE, family-friendly afternoon at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts.

Nearly 90 local arts and cultural organizations are coming together in one place, bringing you live music, dance and theater, artist showcases, interactive activities and plenty of ways to meet the creatives shaping Broward’s arts scene. Plus, get a first look at the exhibitions, festivals, classes and events coming up this season. 👀

And the fun starts before you even head inside! Arts Launch Broward takes place alongside Fort Lauderdale’s Jazz Brunch, so downtown will already be buzzing with live music before you make your way over for even more art, culture and creativity.

After seven years leading Broward County’s Cultural Division, Phillip Dunlap leaves behind a lasting legacy of support for artists, cultural organizations, public art, and the community we serve.

More than that, he’ll be remembered for his optimism, curiosity, leadership, piano playing and unmistakable presence and energy.

Thank you for your leadership, friendship, and the countless ways you’ve helped shape Broward’s cultural community. Wishing you all the best in your next chapter. They’re lucky to have you!

When you think of Broward County parks, trails and natural areas might come to mind first. But for decades, they’ve also served as an outdoor gallery.

As we wrap up celebrating , we’re sharing a look at the partnership between Broward County Parks and our Public Art & Design Program. Under the leadership of longtime Broward County Parks and Recreation Division Director Dan West, our county’s parks have continued to evolve as places where nature, recreation, and public art come together.

Artists have drawn inspiration from South Florida’s landscapes and wildlife to create works that enhance the places we explore and connect with nature. From sculptures inspired by native birds and wildlife to installations that reflect the Everglades and our unique environment, these artworks help tell the story of Broward County while creating memorable experiences for park visitors.

This is just a small preview of the stories, artworks, and partnerships featured in the upcoming Public Art & Design 50-Year Retrospective. Stay tuned. 🌿🎨

Register now for the upcoming online South Florida Cultural Consortium workshop for Visual and Media Artists on Wednesday, July 22 at 1PM. This session provides an overview of the application process, explains how submissions are reviewed, and offers guidance for visual and media artists residing in Broward, Martin, Miami‑Dade, Monroe, and Palm Beach counties.

Funding opportunities include:

What actually happens when AI enters an artist’s studio? And maybe more importantly… what doesn’t? 👀

Hosted by the Broward County Cultural Division’s Public Art & Design Program and curated by Sophie Blachet, join us for the final Cultural Rendezvous of the season on 𝐉𝐮𝐥𝐲 𝟏 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝟗–𝟏𝟏 𝐀𝐌 at MAD Arts in Dania Beach featuring “The Loop and the Tool: AI in a Working Studio” with transdisciplinary artist Dimitry Saïd Chamy

Through real projects, live experimentation, and honest conversation, Dimitry will explore how AI has become part of his creative practice, from organizational systems and coding collaboration to developing entirely new interactive works.

The talk will also dive into The Unreading Room, a participatory archive project “vibe-coded” before its debut, opening up a larger conversation around the evolving role of AI in creative spaces.
