Due to low temperatures continuing throughout the weekend and early next week, Broward County and local partners will continue to provide shelter to individuals and families experiencing homelessness through Monday night, February 2nd. Shelter placement will begin at 5:30PM nightly on a first come, first served basis at The Salvation Army located at 1445 W. Broward Blvd. Fort Lauderdale, FL 33312. Space is limited.

The Broward County Housing Authority will accept pre-applications for the Tequesta Reserve Apartment Project-Based Voucher Program for elderly families online from 8:30AM EST on January 21st through 5:00PM EST on January 23rd. Visit https://bchafl.org/ for more information.

Florida Power & Light and other organizations brought some holiday cheer to the Broward County group home of one of HOSS-D’s partners, A House with Heart Homes, by decorating outside of the house. This marks the 18th year that FPL has kept this tradition to bring joy to local veterans during the holiday season.
