Did You Know?
Only 43% of workers in low-wage jobs move out of low-wage work over a 10-year period, according to Brookings Institution.
For many workers, economic mobility is not just about finding a job. It is about finding a pathway to higher wages, career growth, and long-term stability. That is why workforce development matters.
When individuals gain access to the right training, credentials, and career opportunities, they are better positioned to move from surviving to thriving.
The Middle Class Summit 2026 brings together leaders from business, workforce development, education, and government to explore solutions that strengthen pathways to economic mobility. Join the conversation shaping what comes next.

A strong middle class drives more than individual success. It
fuels local economies, supports businesses, and creates
long-term stability for families.
But what it takes to be middle class today looks different
than it did before.
In many U.S. regions, middle-class households now fall
within a wide income range, often between $50,000 and
$150,000 depending on cost of living, according
to SmartAsset.
That range reflects a bigger reality. The path into the middle
class is not always clear or accessible.
That is why workforce development, employer partnerships,
and forward-thinking solutions matter more than ever.
The Middle Class Summit 2026 is focused on one thing.
Expanding and strengthening pathways to economic
mobility.
Join the leaders building what comes next.

The middle class is evolving.
Today, about 51% of U.S. adults fall into middle-income households, down from 61% in past generations, according to Pew Research Center.
That shift is not just about income. It reflects how access to opportunity, career pathways, and economic stability are changing in real time.
In South Florida, that change is happening across industries as new skills and technologies reshape the workforce.
The opportunity is not just to keep up. It is to build something stronger and more accessible.
For 25 years, OIC of South Florida has been doing exactly that. Connecting people to training, careers, and long-term economic mobility.
