Those were the words spoken to U.S. forces on the eve of The Battle of Normandy Beach, June 6th, 1944. It has become known as D-Day and "The beginning of the end of World War II". More than 155,000 troops stormed the 50 mile stretch of beach that pivotal morning. By days end, 4414 allied forces made the ultimate sacrifice.
Today, we thank them for their sacrifice and remember The Longest Day.
