Innovation in action! For the second year in a row, youth from Handy’s Tech Center Career Pathways program participated in Project Invent’s Demo Day in Houston, Texas, where they pitched Fidgibeat, a smart fidget device designed to support mental wellness through creativity and technology.

We’re proud to share that they received the Need Finder Award for identifying a real need and creating an impactful solution through STEM and entrepreneurship.

Congratulations to our newest NCCER Certification graduates from Handy’s LAUNCH Construction Program!

LAUNCH, which stands for Learn, Apply, Up-Skill, Network, Credential, Hire, is designed to prepare youth for meaningful careers in high-demand industries by equipping them with hands-on skills, industry-recognized credentials, and the confidence to take their next step.

At Handy, our mission is to empower youth impacted by foster care and at-risk circumstances with the support, education, and resources they need to achieve independence and build brighter futures.

At Handy, we believe every young person deserves the chance to experience life’s special moments, and our programs help create that sense of normalcy and joy. Thanks to Handy supporter Ariel, two of our youth were able to experience their dream prom moments, complete with a dress shopping spree, hair, makeup, shoes, nails, and everything in between.
