🚧 Construction is moving forward on the S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue Reconstruction Project in Delray Beach.
Crews are working on:
✔️ A new turn lane on S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue east of S.R. 7/U.S. 441
✔️ A new sidewalk on the north side of S.R. 806/Atlantic Avenue west of Smith Sundy Road

The U.S. 1 Jupiter Bridge Replacement Project continues to make waves across South Florida! 🛥️⛵🚤

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Palm Beach Branch presented the team with the “Project of the Year” award at their 38th Annual “Engineers in Government Night” in downtown West Palm Beach.

FDOT District 4's Director of Transportation Development, John Krane, P.E., also served as guest speaker and shared exciting new initiatives underway and future local projects on the horizon.

Sidewalk construction is underway on U.S. 1 from Access Road to W 11th Street. Crews removed the former railing wall and installed reinforcing bars (rebar) in preparation of the new sidewalk in Palm Beach County. 🚶

FDOT District 4 received the 2026 ACEC National Recognition Award for the Smart Work Zone program 🏆🚧. Smart Work Zones (SWZs) use Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) technologies and Transportation Systems Management and Operations (TSM&O) strategies to improve safety, mobility, and traffic flow within and around active work zones.

This recognition reflects FDOT’s continued commitment to advancing safety, mobility, and innovation through smarter, technology-driven work zone solutions.

Thank you to the project team and partners whose work helped make this achievement possible.

The U.S. 1 Jupiter Bridge Replacement Project was honored to receive the 'Outstanding Bridge Project of the Year' award at today's 2026 ACEC Florida Transportation Conference in Orlando! 🌟🎉🏆

The project, completed in Dec. 2025 in northern Palm Beach County, was also the feature project for District 4 on display in the exhibition hall, highlighting key improvements including start-of-the-art technology and safety features. District 4 leadership and project team members from all phases of planning, design and construction were in attendance to celebrate this accomplishment alongside industry colleagues.

The bridge was also commemorated in a custom artwork piece by local Jupiter artist Katie Herman and signed by today's attendees.
