I had a great time speaking at the Fort Lauderdale Forum this morning! I spoke on a panel with Fort Lauderdale City Manager Rickelle Williams, and Bill Brown, Chair of the Fort Lauderdale Budget Advisory Council! The forum was hosted by former Florida State Representative and Fort Lauderdale Mayor Jack Seiler! We had a fantastic conversation about the city’s budget, taxable value and proposed property tax reform that the legislature may consider. Thank you Carolyn Burns, Howard Elfman and everyone who attended for inviting me!

The hardworking members of the Urban Core Committee of the Broward Workshop invited me to provide a general update about the fiscal impacts (both savings to property owners and revenue loss to local governments) that proposed property tax reform could have if addressed by the legislature in a special session. It's important that our legislators, local elected officials and our wonderful Broward County public have as much information as possible and my goal is to continue to keep analyzing and providing factual information regarding any proposal that legislature may consider in the future. Thank you to my friend and chair of the committee Russ Klenet for inviting me.

I really enjoyed speaking with the wonderful members of the Kiwanis Club of Hallandale Beach at their Annual Pasta Dinner. We spoke about how the Broward County Property Appraiser’s Office can help our Broward community!
