An urgent call is received in the middle of the night from the US Coast Guard requesting assistance with the rescue of a critically injured passenger aboard a sailboat in a remote Caribbean port. Although common place today, 38 years ago it was one of National's first medevac flights. Soon thereafter, National helped to formulate what are now the State of Florida's Air Ambulance Regulations and in 1976 received the State's FIRST Air Ambulance license!

The scope of our care includes adult critical care, stable pediatric ages 4-14 and obstetrical patients who are not in active labor with a gestation of up to 20 weeks. By consistently incorporating the highest standards recognized in both aviation and medical industries, we are committed to our goal of providing safe aviation transport, and on all levels of patient care. holds and maintains its own 135 operations certificate issued by the Federal Aviation Administration. is the parent company for National Air Ambulance (NAA) and provides the aircraft used by NAA for all transports. We provide direct consultation between of Flight Medical Director and patient's treating physician to evaluate patients needs. This consultation assists us in determining the required medical equipment, medical staff, and aircraft for each transport. Our medical flight teams consist of an MD/RN/Paramedic or Respiratory Therapist team, however configuration of medical team will vary depending of patient acuity and medical consultation.
