Congratulations to this week’s Camp FMES Campers of the Week!

Each week, FMCSD celebrates elementary students who show what it means to be safe, responsible, and respectful while demonstrating positive character throughout our school.

Here is what our teachers had to say -

Logan
Kindergarten
Logan comes to school everyday with a smile and ready to learn. She always takes her time and make sure she does high quality work. She is kind to all of her classmates and adults. She is always listening and following directions. Keep up the good work, Logan, Mrs. Trout is very proud of you.

Lucas
1st Grade
Lucas is very respectful. He is great about complimenting his peers and other adults. He tries his best to make everyday a good day. He is positive and always makes sure his work is high-quality.

Henry
2nd Grade
Henry is responsible in the classroom by focusing on his work and trying his best at everything he does. Henry works hard to avoid getting distracted and off task.

Hadley
3rd Grade
Hadley always shows responsibility by helping others and without being asked cleaning the room, picking up materials, etc. She frequently will help others with organization and getting a task started. She is responsible in all areas of the school, always walking, always using appropriate voice level etc.

Bentley
4th Grade
This week Bentley has shown responsibility by working hard and finishing his work. He has been giving his best effort and working through difficult things.

Clara
5th Grade
Clara works very hard in class and always gets her work done. She stays on task and asks for help if she needs it. Her things are always organized and she is very helpful in keeping our classroom clean and neat.

Lucene

Built by Bloodhounds! Our welding students put their skills to work building new welding stalls for the high school’s welding program. A great example of students putting their skills into action and creating something that will benefit their program and future Bloodhounds for years to come!

First place out of 15 teams! Congratulations to Sophia, Kayda, and Eva on their 1st-place finish at the FCCLA Fall Regional Meeting’s Charcuterie/Dip Competition at Danville High School.

The team put their culinary skills on full display with a spread featuring three dips alongside bagels, Swedish rye bread, cheese, meat, grapes, and chocolate covered strawberries. Their creativity and presentation helped make their entry stand out among the competition.

Two teams. Two top-five finishes. One trip to Nationals!

Ms. Moss took students to the Junior Achievement Stock Market Challenge, where 63 teams competed in a fast-paced stock market simulation. One FMCSD team earned 2nd place and qualified for Nationals, while the other finished 5th.

Congratulations to both teams on an impressive showing and putting their financial knowledge, teamwork, and quick decision-making to the test!

Learning about the world and sharing that knowledge with others!

Ms. Algrim's second graders have been researching schools around the world and creating their own books about a school in another country. They recently visited Ms. Trout's kindergarten classroom to read their books to younger students, putting their learning into practice while sharing their hard work with others.

A little reading, a lot of learning, and a special opportunity for students to learn from one another!
