A huge THANK YOU to Lowe's Home Improvement Fort Mill for spending a day beautifying the Fort Mill Care Center! From painting our office to adding fresh mulch and applying nonslip paint to our patio, your team helped make our space brighter, safer, and more welcoming for our community.

The generosity didn’t stop there! Lowe’s also donated 276 pounds of food to help stock our shelves and support the families we serve.

We are incredibly grateful to King Paint Company
for donating their services, Valspar for donating the paint, and Scotts Lawn Care for donating the mulch. This project was truly a team effort, and we couldn’t be more thankful to everyone who helped make it happen!

We’re excited and hopeful that this is the beginning of a wonderful partnership with Lowe’s Fort Mill. Thank you for investing your time, talents, and resources into our community!

🍂 October Is Here—Help Us Prepare for the Holiday Season!

October marks an especially busy time at the Fort Mill Care Center. As we head deeper into fall and the holidays, the number of families we serve typically increases, and we want to make sure our pantry shelves are stocked and ready to meet the needs of our neighbors.

🎃 And this month, we’re preparing for Thanksgiving! Beginning October 30, we will start distributing Thanksgiving meals in addition to our regular food orders. Your donations will help us make sure families have access to the food they need throughout the holiday season.

If you're making a grocery run, would you consider picking up a few extra items from our most-needed list? Every donation, no matter the size, helps us prepare for the months ahead and ensures families have access to the food and household essentials they need.

Can't make it to the store? Walmart and Aldi gift cards or PayPal donations are always appreciated. Our volunteers can purchase the items we need most, helping every dollar make the greatest impact.

We are so grateful for this amazing team from Daimler Truck North America who took the time to clean the Care Center and make it shine! ✨

But they didn’t stop there—they also brought generous donations in honor of Mark Grae. We are truly touched to be the recipient of such a meaningful tribute.

Thank you for your hard work, kindness, and generosity. Your support means so much to us and the families we serve! ❤️

Hundreds of Donations Collected for 9/11 National Day of Service

ROCK HILL, SC — In preparation for the National Day of Service on September 11, more than sixty women from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered on Friday, August 21 to collect and assemble donations for four local charities. These women came to the chapel in Rock Hill from congregations located from York to Lancaster and from Fort Mill to Chester, and many brought donations of food with them.

Nearly 100 "inspirational hearts" were cut out for Preemies of the Carolinas and 129 flashcard sets were counted out and assembled for Classroom Central, a nonprofit organization that provides free school supplies to teachers and students in high need schools in the Charlotte area. Seventeen dozen cookie balls were also prepared and frozen for the York County based charity “Defend the Fatherless,” which supports foster, adoptive and kinship families caring for children in crisis.

Food donations of canned meat, beans and vegetables brought by many of these women were used to assemble meal kits for patrons of the Fort Mill Care Center. The women completed 117 such meal kits. Candice Fairbanks, Director of Fort Mill Care Center said, “Fort Mill Care Center is deeply grateful for the generous donation of meal kits from the Fort Mill Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Each kit includes the ingredients needed to prepare a complete, nutritious meal, offering families a convenient option for their dinner table. This thoughtful contribution will support 117 families in our community and make a meaningful difference for those experiencing food insecurity."

Speaking of the evening, Marcia Ennis the President of the Relief Society in York, Chester and Lancaster counties said “What a joy this evening has been! We love working together as women…to serve others in our community! We are so very grateful for the generosity of the donations and cheerful support of the wonderful women in our area. It was a pleasure not only to serve, but to do it together in a spirit of love and friendship.” Jeanie Moore of Lake Wylie, another attendee said, “Everyone was so friendly…I was blessed by going.”

Local leaders of the Relief Society, the Church’s international women’s organization, will deliver the items to the various charities this September in conjunction with the National Day of Service.

Another giant check! 🎉

The men of F3 continue to be some of our biggest and most consistent supporters, and we are so grateful for their generosity and commitment to our mission.

This time, The Fort donated part of the proceeds from their Golf Tournament and Break the Dam Race to help make a difference in our community. We can’t thank them enough for showing up, giving back, and continuing to support us year after year.

Thank you, F3 The Fort! 💙
