We believe every candidate deserves a platform to share their vision and connect with voters. That's why we're excited to announce that all of our Candidate Conversations will now be broadcast on both Altafiber and Spectrum, thanks to the Telecommunications Board of Northern Kentucky.

Democracy works best when every voice has the opportunity to be heard, not just those backed by billionaires and special interests. We're proud to help give candidates a wider platform and voters better access to the conversations that matter most.

Unfortunately KET - Kentucky Educational Television has banned Melissa Strange for Congress from their publicly scheduled debate with her opponent, Elitist funded Eddie because they feel she hasn’t raised enough money. We at the Blue Dot give everyone a platform because elections shouldn’t be bought by trillionaires.

Tonight, Kentucky Educational Television (KET) will give Ed Gallrein 30 minutes to speak directly to the voters in Kentucky’s 4th Congressional District.

This broadcast was originally intended to be a debate. Instead, you will only hear from 1 candidate in a three person race. I was not given the opportunity to participate due to KET’s arbitrary fundraising requirement. Mr. Gallrein met that threshold because his campaign is funded by Billionaires, Corporate PACs, Lobbyists, and millions of dollars from outside our district. He paid for an expected win in the primary and now KET is allowing him a platform where you will be denied access to all the different opinions available to you at the ballot box.

The same opportunity was extended to him during the primary against Thomas Massie, but he declined. Now he accepts when there will be no one there to challenge him on his unpopular policies, and unconditional support of the president.

That is not Democracy. There are multiple candidates on the ballot for the 4th Congressional District who have stronger campaigns and better messaging. Candidates who actually want to help the people of our district.

Did you know there is a constitutional amendment on the ballot in KY?? Read below to understand what it all means..

Kentucky voters will see a proposed constitutional amendment on the ballot November 3.

Amendment 1 would change Section 77 of the Kentucky Constitution to limit the Governor’s power to issue pardons or commute criminal sentences during the period surrounding a gubernatorial election.

Currently, Kentucky’s Governor has the authority to grant pardons and reduce criminal sentences throughout the term of office, including the final days before leaving office.

The amendment would prohibit the Governor from granting pardons or commuting sentences beginning 60 days before a gubernatorial election and continuing until the fifth Tuesday following that election, when the new term begins.

The Governor would retain those powers during the remainder of the term.

Voting YES means you support changing the Kentucky Constitution to restrict the Governor’s pardon and commutation powers during that period.

Voting NO means you oppose the proposed restriction and want to leave the Governor’s existing constitutional authority unchanged.

The purpose of the proposed amendment is to establish a constitutional restriction on the use of these powers during the transition between gubernatorial terms.
