The Morgan County Ambulance Service is incredibly proud to celebrate Kebri, Kalissa, and Miguel as they officially join the ranks of Paramedics! โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™

After completing the rigorous Paramedic Program at Aims Community College and have successfully passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians (NREMT) Paramedic Examination and has officially earned their place as a nationally certified paramedic.

And this accomplishment deserves to be recognized for exactly what it is: an incredible amount of hard work, sacrifice, dedication, and perseverance.

The Aims Paramedic Program is not an easy road. The program combines advanced classroom education with intensive hands-on laboratory training, hospital clinical rotations, and an extensive field internship. Aimsโ€™ program includes approximately 360 hours of lecture, 205 hours of laboratory experience, 180 hours of hospital clinicals, and 500 hours of field internship. Students work through more than 125 hands-on skills and 75+ realistic scenarios, learning not only how to perform advanced procedures, but how to assess patients, develop differential diagnoses, make sound clinical decisions, lead a team, and provide appropriate treatment under pressure. (Aims Community College)

And then came the National Registry exam โ€” the final step between completing the educational program and earning national paramedic certification.

That means these three have demonstrated the knowledge, skills, judgment, and clinical decision-making necessary to step forward as Paramedics and take on an entirely new level of responsibility in emergency medicine.

๐Ÿ’‰ Advanced pharmacology.
โค๏ธ Advanced cardiology.
๐Ÿซ Advanced airway management.
๐Ÿš‘ Medical and traumatic emergencies.
๐Ÿ‘ถ Pediatric and neonatal care.
๐Ÿง  Critical thinking and clinical decision-making.
๐Ÿ‘ฅ Leadership and management of complex scenes.

They have spent countless hours learning, practicing, testing, treating, studying, and pushing themselves to become better providers. They have been challenged in the classroom, in the lab, in hospitals, and in the field โ€” and they kept going.

On behalf of everyone at Morgan County Ambulance Service, congratulations on this incredible accomplishment. We are proud of the providers you have become, proud of the work you put in to get here, and incredibly excited to see the difference you will make for the patients and families you serve.

Welcome to the next chapter.

You earned this. โค๏ธ

Please join us in congratulating Kebri, Kalissa, and Miguel on officially becoming Paramedics! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘

Colorado EMS is essential.

Today marks an important milestone for emergency medical services across our state.

Colorado law now formally recognizes EMS as an essential service and an integral part of Coloradoโ€™s healthcare infrastructure.

From our largest cities to our rural and frontier communities, EMTs, paramedics, ambulance services, air-medical teams, educators, medical directors and EMS leaders are there when Colorado needs them.

Today, we celebrate that recognitionโ€”and everyone who makes Colorado EMS possible.

Officially recognized. Always essential.

In addition, information such as the specific disability or need, communication information for the individual, behavioral/ safety information, medical, school/program information, and emergency response information. The information will be gathered by paper form or electronically Special Needs Registry Form .

Each family will also be provided stickers for their homes and cars to alert first responders of a registrant that occupies that dwelling or is a passenger of that vehicle.

As a community we are proud to open up new ways to better serve all that reside in Morgan County and allow first responders pertinent information to assist them on calls.

Thank you for always looking over us, Sheila. Now and forever. ๐Ÿ’›

Once a dispatcher, always a dispatcher. Today we are remembering ours. ๐Ÿ’›

๐ŸŽง 602

There was a voice on the other end of the worst day.
Steady when nothing else was.
It did not shake and it did not rush,
and it stayed on the line until help came through the door.

She never saw the faces.
They never saw hers.
They only knew that somebody answered,
and that somebody was 602.

The tones are cleared.
The console is dark.
The headset is hung up for good.

602, your watch is over.
Former Supervisor Sheila Hastings, you are 10-7.

We have it from here. ๐Ÿ’›
