October is Colorado Proud Farm/Ranch to School Month. Across the district, we are serving beef enchiladas made with ground beef from our local region. Thank you, Christensen Ranch & Colorado Craft Beef, for helping us feed our students.

In addition to local beef we have also been able to work with a new (to us) produce company Peak to Peak Foods LLC to have more local produce. Peak to Peak is able to bring us a lot of produce from across Colorado. Palisade - Peaches Rocky Ford-Melons, peppers, tomatoes Pueblo- Melons Brighton- Cucumbers Greeley- Carrots.
As well as cheese from our very own Leprino Foods.

We have been serving local foods for most of the school year, but in honor of Colorado Proud Month, Baker Elementary made it extra special for the students by jazzing up their cafeteria. Brenda Groves and her team did an excellent job showcasing the awesome Colorado Products we are able to serve our students.

School Food Services information:
We love making sure our students aren’t getting hangry so they can stay focused and ready to learn! Breakfast & lunch are free for students, but please remember only one meal is free. Students wanting seconds must have money on their account to pay for the additional meal. Money can be added through Infinite Campus or by sending cash with your student to the kitchen manager. Check out the flyer for more information about the meal programs available to our students! 🍎🥦

Join Us for Lunch! 🍎 All K–8 schools invite parents to join their student for lunch on September 17th. Please call your child’s school to confirm their lunch time and make a reservation by Tuesday, September 15th. Please note: Parents and students who purchase an additional meal/seconds will need to pay for their meal. 💵

Joint Press Release from Morgan County School District and Fort Morgan Police Department

Today, August 28, 2026, shortly after 7:00 a.m. a student was hit by a vehicle near Fort Morgan Middle School. School personnel responded immediately and began administering aid. 911 was called and emergency responders arrived within minutes. The student was stabilized and was transported to the hospital.

We appreciate the response from students, school staff, and emergency responders in this situation.

Fort Morgan Police Department is investigating the crash.
