Yesterday Ali and I sat down for a long podcast recording episode (will launch soon), and we decided to change the course of what we discussed.
We've burned out hard on the merry-go-round that the School District of Lee County has put you guys on. We can keep reporting the same things over and over again (and believe me, we'll always expose what's happening as far as spending and the priorities and stories that matter to you)
But, I'm gonna be honest, I'm not sure how you've been riding it for so long, and all your DMs about how its the worst it has ever been and the retaliation and layoffs and the lack of care... it gets hard to hold all of that.
Especially when you're the type of people that prefer solutions-oriented discussions. There's a lot happening with education - and I like to think long term. I like to think - where is this going and what exactly do we need to get in front of it?
You need better access to resources.
You need to be able to speak intelligently in your meetings.
You need to know your rights... because, yes, TALC will stand with you, but not in EVERY case... and especially for parents, and these IEPs and the way that they're handling things at the Federal level. You need quick access to a directory of advocates AND attorneys.
It took me awhile to put this together, and it's not even close to complete, it's only what I was able to find in Google Search and through AI.
But here it is - a free-to-register (a premium upgrade is available, because we do look to help subsidize our work however possible) and free to view forever directory of advocates and attorneys.
You can find this under the resources tab on our website.
Please note this is a NATIONWIDE REGISTRY. Feel free to share anywhere you'd like.

These resources aren't cheap to create or maintain.
