That’s where the DeKalb County Economic Development Authority (DCEDA) comes in.

As Northeast Alabama’s “Proven Place for Business,” DCEDA works to connect companies with the sites, workforce, resources, and strategic partnerships they need to thrive. From helping businesses explore expansion opportunities to working with local, state, and federal partners on economic development projects, their work helps build a stronger future for our entire region.

And it’s not just about attracting new industry. DCEDA is committed to supporting the businesses and industries already here—providing resources, training, information, and connections that help our existing business community remain strong and competitive.

💼 DCEDA provides resources and support including:

• Assistance with expansions, tax abatements, and incentives
• Workforce development and leadership training through their AIDT partnership
• OSHA & EEOC workshops
• Annual wage and benefit surveys
• Industry forums and networking opportunities
• Industrial directory and workforce updates
• Custom surveys, research, and tailored support for new and existing industries

When businesses have the resources and support they need to grow, our entire community benefits. More opportunity, stronger industries, a stronger workforce, and a brighter economic future for DeKalb County.

Two more DeKalb County communities are now better positioned for future industrial growth. ⛰️

Today, local and state leaders gathered in Collinsville and Fyffe to recognize more than $57,000 in SEEDS grant funding from the State of Alabama.

Combined with local matching funds, the awards leveraged approximately $100,000 in completed industrial site assessment and due-diligence work at:
• 72-acre Collinsville Industrial Park near I-59 Exit 205
• 52-acre Fyffe Industrial Park along AL Hwy 75

This work reduces uncertainty for prospective companies, strengthens both sites, and helps our communities compete more effectively for future jobs and private investment.

Thank you to the DeKalb County Legislative Delegation, our local elected officials, the Alabama Department of Commerce, the Economic Development Partnership of Alabama, Sand Mountain Electric Cooperative, and all of the partners helping move these sites forward.

Site readiness takes planning, investment, and, most importantly, partnership. We’re proud to see that work advancing across DeKalb County.
