❤️ What an AMAZING adoption event! 🐾

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who came out, supported us, shared our animals, and helped make this event such a success! A very special thank you to Point Grand for hosting us and giving our fur friends the opportunity to meet so many wonderful people. 🏡🐶🐱

We are thrilled to share that 8 animals found their forever homes! 🎉🐾 We also have follow-up meet-and-greets scheduled for next week, so we’re hopeful even more happy endings are on the way!

THANK YOU to Indian River State College’s Caring Through Crafting organization for making the beautiful bandannas for our animals! ❤️🐾 Our fur friends looked absolutely amazing at the event, and their new families loved them! It was such a thoughtful touch and made our animals look extra special as they met their future families. We are so grateful for your time, creativity, and continued support of our animals!

Last but certainly not least a HUGE thank you to our amazing team at the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center! ❤️ Whether you were working the event off property or holding everything down back at the shelter, everyone came together, stepped up, and put in the work to make this successful. Events like this truly take a team, and we are so grateful for every person who played a part.

Today, Officer 800, Kenny Nelson, gave his final 10-7 after 23 years of dedicated service to the City of Fort Pierce.

Kenny, thank you for the compassion, commitment, and care you brought to every call and every animal in need. You’ve made a lasting difference in this community and set an example that will stay with all of us. As you begin this next chapter, know that we’ll take it from here and continue keeping the animals in our community safe and cared for.

Your watch is complete, Officer 800. Wishing you a happy and well-deserved retirement—you’ll be missed! 💙🐾

🚨 MISSING DOG — PLEASE SHARE! 🚨

Our sweet Mia Papaya is missing! She has only been in her new home for about a week. During the storms, she became frightened and took off running near Bayshore Elementary School.

Mia Papaya is the sweetest girl in the world, but she is most likely extremely scared right now. Please do not chase her or approach her suddenly. If you see her, keep her in sight from a safe distance and immediately:

📞 Call 911 and ask for Animal Control
📞 Call the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center at 772-242-1662
📞 Contact her owner directly, if possible

Please provide her exact location, the direction she is traveling, and the time she was seen.

After everything this sweet girl has been through, we are thrilled to announce that Mia Papaya has officially found her forever home! 🏡🐾

Mia touched the hearts of our Animal Control officers and adoption center staff, and seeing her leave with her new family is the happy ending we hoped for.

Happy tails, Mia Papaya! We wish you and your new family a lifetime of love, happiness and wonderful memories together. ❤️

💛 A Heartfelt Thank You to Continental Shooting Range! 💛

We would like to recognize and thank Continental Shooting Range for its continued generosity and support of the Fort Pierce Animal Adoption Center and the animals in our care.

Their recent donation included an incredible amount of food for our amazing animals! Over the years, they have provided numerous donations and have also organized an annual blanket drive to help keep our shelter pets warm and comfortable.

Continental Shooting Range continues to show up for our animals, and their kindness truly makes a difference. We are incredibly grateful for their ongoing partnership and commitment to helping animals in need.

🐾 Happy Tails are our favorite! ❤️

Nothing makes us happier than seeing our shelter animals leave with loving families! These beautiful adoption moments are why we do what we do.

One of our favorite things is when a former shelter baby returns with Mom and Dad to help welcome a new sibling into the family. Seeing our alumni happy, loved, and helping another animal find a forever home makes our hearts so full!

Congratulations to all of our newly adopted pets and their wonderful families! 🏡🐶🐱💕
