Fort Smith Noon Exchange Club

10/22/2026

This Saturday, we celebrate four Exchange Club members whose service has earned a lasting place in our national story.

Edwin Harvey, Gary Leonard, Dawn Portner and Bill Solder will be honored at our 2026 Court of Honor ceremony on October 24 at National Headquarters in Toledo.

The names on our pylons remind us of the people who keep our work moving forward. This week, we’re proud to recognize these four Exchangers and the example they set for all of us.

🎉 What a fun Field Trip Friday! 🎉

Our members enjoyed visiting the Chaffee Crossing Historic District last week. Attendees gathered for lunch at Fort Smith Brewing Company and then toured the Chaffee museums.

A special shoutout to Jennifer Seaton-Rambo, Director of the Historic District & Museums at Chaffee Crossing, for leading the tour and teaching us about the region's rich history!

What keeps Exchange moving forward? The people willing to lead it.

In the latest Talk Exchange, we hear from seven of our trustees during the 2026 National Convention. Each shares a brief perspective on serving Exchange and the communities our clubs call home.

Hear from Rob Davidson, Vicky Ketchey, Dan McQueeney, Julie Harman, Kathy Mize, Brian Tyler Leonard, and Diamond Davis-Johnson. What does leadership through service mean to you? Tell us below. 💙

We are heading to the Chaffee Crossing Historic District this Friday, October 16. Director Jennifer Seaton-Rambo will provide a guided tour of the Historic District's Museum. Those who can stay a little longer will also have the opportunity to tour the Vietnam Veterans Museum. This tour will be led by Michael Hicks, a U.S. Army Vietnam Veteran.

The program will begin with lunch at Fort Smith Brewing Company. Immediately after, we'll embark on the tours.

We look forward to seeing everyone!

This past weekend, Fort Smith Noon Exchange Club said farewell to a much-loved and valued member who was part of our club for more than 50 years. "Wild Bill" Engles was remembered for his generosity, ingenuity, and humor. At Bill's memorial, Club President Mark Allen and Fort Smith Police Chief and Exchangite Danny Baker were among several community leaders who shared memorable stories about Bill.

We are grateful for the many ways Bill invested in our Club and community. He will be dearly missed. ❤

Thank you to the Engles family for allowing us the privilege of being a part of his service.
