We’d like to give a big shout-out to a youth group from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints who volunteered their time at Twining Valley Park this past May! 🌿

Their hard work made a meaningful impact across the park. The group improved a section of the mountain bike trail by clearing vegetation, smoothing tracks, and repairing berms—making it safer and more enjoyable for both hikers and bikers.

They also took on important ecological work, carefully removing invasive vines from young, naturally regenerating trees. Thanks to their efforts, these saplings now have a better chance to grow and contribute to the future forest.

In addition, the group removed invasive garlic mustard from wooded areas, helping create space for native plants to thrive and improving habitat for local wildlife.

We’re so grateful for their dedication and stewardship—thank you for helping care for Twining Valley Park!

Due to tree work at Robbins Park along the roadway frontage, the main parking lot at Butler Pike will be closed on Saturday, June 13 from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Park visitors will still be able to access the park at Casals Place, North Beecham Drive, and Tennis Avenue. Thank you for your understanding! 🌳

The 2026 Twining Valley Park BioBlitz was a BioBlast!

More than 50 incredible volunteers joined us to explore the park and document its biodiversity, contributing over 617 observations and identifying 211 species! It’s amazing to see just how much life calls Twining Valley Park home. But there are certainly some species we missed.

Want to become a citizen scientist and take part in the discovery? You can help us continue building this picture of local wildlife! Download the iNaturalist app, head out for a walk, and snap a few photos—you’ll be contributing to real community science while connecting with nature in your own backyard.

And a special thanks to the Upper Dublin Township resident whose effort and dedication made this event possible - Michael Kleiman!
