DJOP endorses candidates for Nov. 3 general election
Democratic Jewish Outreach Pennsylvania (DJOP) today endorsed the following candidates for election in the Nov. 3 general election:
Josh Shapiro, PA Governor
Austin Davis, PA Lt. Governor
Bob Harvie, PA 1 st U.S. House district
Brendan Boyle, PA 2 nd U.S. House District
Madeleine Dean, PA 4 th U.S. House district
Mary Gay Scanlon, PA 5 th U.S. House district
Chrissy Houlahan, PA 6 th U.S. House district
Bob Brooks, PA 7 th U.S. House district
Paige Cognetti, PA 8 th U.S. House District
Janelle Stelson, PA 10 th U.S. House District
Chris Deluzio, PA 17 th U.S. House
Jill Zipin, Chair of the state-wide political action committee, said:
“DJOP’s endorsements reflect the confidence of our board members that these candidates best represent the democratic and Jewish values to counter the negativity and divisiveness of Donald Trump and his MAGA followers.
“We are proud to make these recommendations to the voters of Pennsylvania. These candidates will protect health care, Social Security, women’s reproductive rights, voters’ rights and an economy that provides affordability for all American families. They will condemn antisemitism and will support Israel’s desire to live as a democratic and independent nation in peace and security with its neighbors.”
Founded in 2008, DJOP is a state-wide political action committee that supports Democratic candidates and sponsors educational programs on contemporary issues.
With board members throughout Pennsylvania, its efforts are driven by the traditional Jewish values of the pursuit of justice and the principle of “tikkun olam,” Hebrew for “repair of the world.”
