In honor of the inimitable Dolly Parton, who cared deeply about the environment, we're sharing her words of inspiration:

"My hope for the environment, for all things living and all things good, just nature in general, is that we should pay more attention to how we're treating our mountains, how we're treating our world, how we're just treating everything."

Big news! ACDEM has won the 2026 Governor's Award for Environmental Excellence in Recycling and Reuse!

Our "STOP THE SPARK" campaign is tackling a growing challenge: safe battery disposal. From battery recycling and lithium battery safety education to our school v**e collection program, we're working hard (with awesome community partners!) to keep Allen County safe from this emerging waste stream.

We're so proud of this recognition and inspired to keep spreading the word on safe battery practices.

That's why we contract with ERI, which guarantees complete data elimination using both hardware- and software-based destruction methods. Feel free to read more about their data destruction process on their website below.

We hope to see you Saturday morning at the Memorial Coliseum!
