Today, we want to take a moment to recognize the incredible impact our community has made through blood donation.
Because of the generosity of local donors and the commitment of our community partners, TRAA's prehospital blood program has now provided blood products to 70 patients in need of lifesaving care. 70 patients and their families have been touched by a gift that can only come from another person willing to donate.
Fun Fact: Each blood drop decal represents a patient in that ambulance who has been saved by donated blood through our program. Each drop serves as a visible reminder that a member of our community received a chance because someone chose to donate.
When you see these blood drops, think about the people behind them. They represent mothers, fathers, sons, daughters, friends, and neighbors whose lives were impacted by the generosity of people they will likely never meet.
To every blood donor, blood drive volunteer, and community partner who has supported this effort, thank you. Your donations are more than units of blood. They are hope, second chances, and opportunities for patients to return home to the people who love them.
Seventy patients have already been touched by your generosity, and together we will continue to make a difference, one donation, and one life at a time.
