The Allen County Assessor’s Office field team is continuing reassessment in Perry Township. Our office is required by law to physically inspect each property once every four years. Over the next week, we will be in the areas highlighted on the map. All of our fieldworkers will be wearing royal blue, navy, or black shirts with the Assessor logo and should have their county ID badges on them at all times. They will also be driving marked county vehicles. If you have any questions or concerns, call our office at 260-449-7123.

🏠 IMPORTANT PROPERTY TAX INFORMATION FOR INDIANA SENIORS

For property taxes payable in 2027:

✅ The Over 65 Credit may provide an annual property-tax credit of up to $150.

✅ The Over 65 Circuit Breaker Credit generally limits the year-over-year increase in a qualifying senior’s homestead property-tax liability to 2%—including an increase attributable to a referendum—after other applicable credits are applied.

The income limits for the Over 65 Circuit Breaker Credit are:

• $61,680 or less for a single taxpayer
• $71,960 or less for a married couple filing jointly

Recent changes also removed the previous $240,000 assessed-value limit. Eligible taxpayers may receive both senior benefits.

These credits are not automatic. Seniors must meet all eligibility requirements and submit State Form 43708 by January 15, 2027, to the county auditor.
