We would like to inform residents that some accounts with a second, and third trash can were previously being undercharged and may now see a rate adjustment reflected on their utility bill.

The fee for a second, and third trash can is a pass-through charge from our trash provider. The City does not collect or retain these funds — the amount is paid directly to Republic for the additional service.

If your account currently has a second or third trash can, the updated charge will now be reflected accordingly.

If you have any questions regarding your account or trash service, please contact City Hall for assistance. Thank you for your understanding!

The City proudly recognizes Officer Aguilar for receiving Law Enforcement Achievement Award for Valor. This distinguished honor reflects extraordinary courage, selflessness, and dedication to protecting our community. We are grateful for you service and proud to have you represent our city.

Our very own Officer Aguilar has been selected to receive the 2026 State of Texas Law Enforcement Achievement Award for Valor.

The State of Texas Law Enforcement Achievement Awards, conferred annually by the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement (TCOLE), represents one of the highest honors within Texas Law Enforcement.

This is a significant and well-deserved recognition that reflects exceptional courage and commitment to service.

Officer Aguilar’s actions represent the very best of our profession and bring great credit not only to himself, but to our entire organization.

Officer Aguilar will be traveling to Austin in June to accept this prestigious recognition.

The City of Blue Mound is NOT under a boil water notice. Our water system is operating normally, and there are no issues with our water quality.

We understand the concern and want to reassure everyone that your water is safe to use and consume.
