Fort Worth Botanic Garden The Fort Worth Botanic Garden and Botanical Research Institute of Texas is 120 acres in the heart of the cultural district.

The Fort Worth Botanic Garden was established in 1934 and is the oldest major botanic garden in Texas. It contains a collection of more than 2,500 species of plants. Long celebrated for its beautiful tropical, rose, and Japanese gardens, the FWBG is composed of twenty-five specialty garden spaces, including a tropical conservatory, a public perennial trial garden, and naturalized areas and vistas.

Bring the family for hands-on, Halloween activities with our Education Team, spooky treats, and an outdoor screening of The Addams Family (1991). Costumes are encouraged! 👻

That’s a wrap on the FWBG Family Fun Run! 🏃‍♀️🌱
Thank you to every runner, walker, stroller-pusher, and bandana-wearing pup who joined us for the FWBG Family Fun Run. Every registration supports the Baker Martin Family Garden, a two-acre space where kids can splash in a creek, peer into a Texas pond, and discover nature up close.
 
The Family Garden is getting close to its own finish line, and you can still be part of it! Every gift helps finish what’s left to build, from the interactive creek to the Discovery Center 🌼

¡Celebramos! wraps up this Sunday 🌺💃🏻
Fiesta de Cultura Viva brings a full day of cultural arts to the Garden: mariachi, opera, folklórico dance, and a quinceañera runway show of gowns and accessories. Artwork from Fort Worth ISD students, inspired by this year’s ¡Celebramos! events, will be on display too.

Then stay into the evening and bring your dog to Carter’s Grove for the Blessing of the Animals.

A small rescue on the Pollinator Pathway 🕊️

While working in the Garden, our gardeners Nate, Fernando, and Zeb noticed a dove acting a little differently than usual. A closer look revealed an injury that was still healing.

The team reached out to find a licensed wildlife rehabilitator but weren’t able to locate one nearby. In the meantime, Nate is giving the dove a safe, quiet place to rest and recover 🌿
