Today we had the honor of celebrating several incredible Sunset Valley Elementary staff members for their continued years of service with KISD! 🎉

From 5 years all the way to 35 years of dedication, these staff members have poured their hearts into serving students, families, and our school community each and every day. Their commitment, compassion, and hard work help make Sunset Valley such a special place to learn and grow.

Thank you for the countless ways you impact the lives of children and coworkers alike. We are so proud to celebrate your service and grateful for everything you do for KISD!

As this school year comes to a close, we want to take a moment to celebrate three incredible members of the Sunset Valley family who are retiring from education. 💙

Please join us in congratulating:

✨ Ruthann Kiefer, our amazing data clerk, who has been part of Sunset Valley since we opened in 2016. From attendance reminders to keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes, Ruthann has been a steady and caring presence for our staff and students.

✨ Suzanne Sauls, our resource aide, who has also been with Sunset Valley since the very beginning. Suzanne has supported students across every grade level through inclusion services and has made a lasting impact on so many children and classrooms.

✨ Debra Zachary, our wonderful 4th grade teacher, for her years of dedication to students and learning. She is admired as a caring teacher with a "go with the flow" mindset, and for her excitement for life. Colleagues value her friendship and appreciate her kindness, cool fashion, and the strength of the bond she creates with her students.

These three women have poured so much time, care, patience, and heart into our school community, and we are so grateful for all they have done for Sunset Valley students and staff over the years.

Help us celebrate and congratulate them on their retirement and wish them the very best in this exciting new chapter! 🎉🍎
