Bring Your Kids to Work Day is an annual career exploration event held at many global locations throughout our American Airlines network. This year 75 employees’ children, ages 8-14 registered to participate in the event at Dallas/Ft. Worth International Airport on Saturday, November 4th, 2023. The initiative was sponsored by the Family Matters Employee Business Resource Group, DFW Airport Administration and leaders of various departments at American Airlines DFW Hub. Eager aviation enthusiasts visited the heartbeat of the hub operations at the DFW Control Center, toured one of our 787-9 aircraft where they practiced safety instructions with our Inflight colleagues, learned about aircraft maintenance from our AMTs, got a firsthand glimpse into customer operations, asked questions from our colleagues on the Flight team and experienced the ambience of our Admirals Club. This was possible through the efforts of our Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team, Executive Sponsor, CarolyneTruelove, DFW SVP, Jim Moses and a host of airline volunteers who care about mentoring the next generation of leaders in the aviation industry. Thanks to everyone who volunteered their time and talents to make this enterprise successful!
