During SAREX 26 off the coast of Key West, Florida (March 10, 2026), Airmen from the 39th, 301st and 308th Rescue Squadrons trained alongside the Air Reserve Air Guard Test Center and the Royal Canadian Air Force—building the joint force muscle memory it takes to execute rescue missions when seconds matter and conditions are unforgiving.
This is combat-ready teamwork in action: airpower, recovery, and interoperability—ready to respond anytime, anywhere.

What did Patriot Forge 2026 teach us?
That when the situation changes fast, the warriors of Homestead Air Reserve Base move faster.
During Exercise Patriot Forge 2026 at Dobbins Air Reserve Base, Georgia, Airmen from the 482d Fighter Wing executed high-intensity scenarios—from engaging opposing forces to responding to a simulated downed aircraft. Security Forces locked down the scene and eliminated threats. Civil Engineers moved in to contain fires, enter the aircraft, and account for personnel. Every action was deliberate. Every role mattered.
This is the Reserve Advantage in real time: trained professionals who can surge, integrate, and deliver combat-ready capability when it counts.
Ready to Fly. Ready to Fix. Ready to Fight—anytime, anywhere.

We don’t get better in a conference room—we get better by listening to Airmen in the fight. Brig. Gen. Merrill and Chief Allen visited the 307th Bomb Wing to see innovation firsthand and hear candid feedback on how we keep pushing readiness forward.
And yes… there was a moment where the commander tried to find the cyclic on a truck simulator. Old habits.
