🇺🇸 September 11th — We Will Never Forget 🇺🇸
This morning, our Waverly Park family gathered to remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to honor the heroes whose courage and sacrifice showed our nation the true meaning of service.
Our students reminded us that courage is not the absence of fear—it is choosing to do what is right even when you are afraid. As they shared their words and our American flag was presented to the Marines to be raised, we were reminded how important it is to teach the next generation about courage, kindness, service, sacrifice, and unity.
A heartfelt thank you to Coach Grames for putting this meaningful ceremony together, for helping our students understand why we remember, and for your service as a United States Marine. 🇺🇸
Thank you also to our Waverly Park Choir, led by Mrs. Bartee and Dr. Garcia, for joining us and sharing their voices during this special morning of remembrance. ❤️
Twenty-five years later, we continue to remember those we lost, honor those who answered the call, and thank all who serve.
❤️🤍💙 We remember. We honor. We will never forget. 🇺🇸
