Today, we honor and celebrate Coach Joe — an incredible PE teacher, mentor, coach, and leader who has dedicated so many years to serving the students, families, and community of Sam Rosen Elementary School.

Coach Joe has impacted countless lives through his kindness, leadership, and unwavering commitment to student health and wellness. He is truly loved by generations of students and staff alike, and his legacy will continue to be felt for years to come.

Throughout his career, Coach Joe has gone above and beyond for our school community. Some of his many contributions include:

• Serving as a Junior Optimist softball coach
• Coordinating and growing our Garden Club
• Helping lead our campus to become a Blue Zones Healthy School
• Receiving the prestigious Chair of Excellence for Health and Wellness
• Being named Teacher of the Year an incredible five times!!
• Partnering with Texas Health & Blue Zone to bring valuable wellness resources to our campus, including our upcoming wellness room

Coach Joe, thank you for the passion, heart, and dedication you have poured into our school and community over the years. Your impact reaches far beyond the gym walls, and the lives you have touched will never forget you. We are forever grateful for everything you have done for our students and families.

While we will certainly miss seeing you in this role, we are excited to continue your legacy by welcoming Joe Jr. as he takes the reins of the PE program next year at Sam Rosen. What a special continuation of a truly meaningful legacy. We wish you blessings as you change even more lives at the new ACE campus. You will surely make a difference!

The awesome principal of Northside visited Sam Rosen today to give our 5th graders a positive talk about their future. A reminder to work hard and to start thinking about what they want to be when they grow up so that they can continue their education at the great North Side High School! Thanks Mr. De La Cruz!

TWO BIG WINS for our Lady Eagles Softball Team. Our girls won both of their double header games today. They defeated the reigning champs, George Clarke Cougars, 1-0 and took a 4-0 victory over the Meadow Creek Mustangs. So proud of our girls. One game at a time.
