I was honored to speak on behalf of Mayor Mattie Parker and the City Council at the 97th Annual Memorial Day Service at Greenwood Funeral Homes and Cremation - Mount Olivet Chapel. Councilmember and U.S. Marine 1st Sergeant Charles Lauersdorf did an outstanding job as MC. Appreciate the leadership of CAPT Beau Hufstetler, Commanding Officer of NAS JRB Fort Worth.

Memorial Day is more than a date on the calendar or a long weekend. We remember the men & women of our Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our nation.
