Fort Worth Fire Station 32

The Fort Worth Fire Department hosted its 2nd Annual Sensory-Friendly “Touch a Truck” event at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex in recognition of Autism Awareness/Acceptance Month. The event reached capacity within 36 hours, with attendance limited to ensure a supportive, sensory-friendly environment.

Families enjoyed hands-on interaction with a variety of vehicles and first responders, along with access to valuable community resources. We’re grateful to all departments, businesses, and vendors who made this event possible.

Station 32 was proud to be part of such a meaningful experience, and we look forward to its continued success.

🚨MARCH 5th UPDATE🚨: Due to the overwhelming number of tickets reserved yesterday, we have gone ahead and added additional slots to both the AM and the PM session. Please be mindful of the number that you reserve and if you are unable to attend the event, to cancel your ticket reservation. That way someone else can sign up.

If you are a vendor that is interested in participating in this event- as we have received multiple inquiries- YES! You are welcome. You will need to bring your own table and chairs to set up your "booth". Please reserve one ticket with "VENDOR" as your first name and your last name as the business name. We only need your email and then can compile a list of everyone who will be coming as a vendor.

Sensory Friendly "Touch a Truck" Event

On Saturday, April 11th, the Fort Worth Fire Department is teaming up with the Fort Worth Police Department, CareFlite and MORE to provide a sensory friendly "Touch a Truck Event" 🚑🚓🚒🚁

This event will be held on the track at the Bob Bolen Public Safety Complex. There will be vehicles ranging from fire trucks, ambulances, police cars and helicopters along with robots from the Arson & Bomb unit and horses from the FWPD mounted unit. (And MANY more!!)

There will also be tables with representatives from various businesses and non-profits that provide resources for children on the Autism spectrum. 🧩♾️

The event is FREE but a you MUST register for it at the link below to so that we have an accurate count of attendees. To ensure that this remains a safe, sensory-friendly event, the number of people must be limited. 🎟

There are two "sessions" to allow for enough people to attend. When reserving your spot be sure to pick either the AM session (10am to 12pm) or the PM session (1pm to 3pm). We look forward to seeing you out there!
