The students and staff enjoyed celebrating her wonderful leadership this afternoon. Her dedication, support, and care that she provides daily to the teachers, staff, and students of Atwood McDonald Elementary are so very much appreciated. We’re extremely blessed to have her leading our school!

Happy Administrative Professional’s Day!!

Every day we are grateful for Mrs. Howard and Ms. Smith, and today we proudly take time to recognize and celebrate their amazingness! They keep everything running behind the scenes, multitask lots of moving parts all at once, and bring laughter and joy to the front office! Thank you for all that you do! 💜

Congrats to the Teacher and Students of Month!!

We recognize these students for their outstanding citizenship, academic achievement and growth, and for their positive contributions to their classrooms and school community. Congratulations, students!

Ms. Sargent, our wonderful Kindergarten teacher, takes on so much more than teaching her students. She improves the school’s culture and climate by chairing the Hospitality Committee, creating digital flyers to post on ClassDojo, and by coordinating the theme weeks and celebrations for our staff and students. She is always willing to help no matter what! She shows involvement around the school and graciously helps who ever needs it with her kindness and positive spirit! Thank you, Ms. Sargent!

Each year, our school’s faculty and staff vote for one of their teammates for Teacher of the Year. These are teachers who exemplify the best of teaching in their classrooms, for their extracurricular activities, and for building partnerships with school communities.

We’re beyond thrilled to announce Mr. Larry Keys as Atwood McDonald’s 2026 Teacher of Year!

Congratulations, Mr. Keys! Well deserved!
