Meet the Standards for onsite inspection in your home
Maintain and be able to follow an emergency plan in your home
Conduct quarterly fire drills
Ability to properly document completed fire drills
Attend Quarterly meetings
Report allegations of Abuse Neglect and Abuse
Ensure the correct and up to date emergency number are posted at all times
Providing services to the consumer based on his/her PDP, IPC, implementation plan and with the HCS Program waiver application approved by CMS (www.dads.state.tx.us)
Provide assistance with activities of daily living, meal preparation, planning, providing transportation, housekeeping and medications .
Perform tasks delegated by the RN
Allowing time for the consumer to participate in community activities
Assist with the developmentation of socially valued behaviors
Open to the consumer living in your home
Requirements
HSD or GED
Valid Driver’s License
Valid Auto Insurance
A criminal background check
Proof of residence during the time service is provided

Currently seeking responsible, dependable, flexible person interested in making a difference in the lives of people with disabilities. The direct care staff will work with clients in a group home setting. This position may require a significant amount of client personal care.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Helping with daily tasks such as transporting clients, laundry, cleaning, meal preparation, assisting with personal hygiene and passing medications.
• Facilitates inclusion in community activities, use of natural supports, social interaction, participation in leisure activities, and development of socially valued behavior.
• Maintains regular attendance and timeliness in duties.
• Maintains good work and personal ethics in dealing with co-workers and resident consumers.
• Does not engage in activities other than official business during work hours;
• Presents a neat, clean appearance; dressed appropriately for the job. Practices personal hygiene.
• Reports incidents/injuries in a timely manner.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by management
• Perform other duty assignments as necessary
• Maintains confidentiality of company and consumer information
• Other responsibilities include safety instruction and accompanying clients on community outings. Experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to work shift hours, weekends and holiday’s
• And other assigned duties as needed
• Cell phone use will not be permitted while staff is awake.
Training will be provided.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum age requirement is 21 years old. * Must meet all pre-employment requirements including drug screening, clean background and driving record. Must have a high school diploma or GED. Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English - fluently * Must have a valid driver's license. Must have reliable transportation to and from work. Must meet certain physical fitness requirements such as: - capable of lifting at least 50 pounds - ability to get up and down from the floor with ease - able to walk and be on your feet for hours (occasionally)
