Honor the Fallen. Support the Living.

This Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2026, we invite you to stand with Victory for Veterans, Inc. for our annual "A Flower on Every Grave!" project. Across the nation, silent rows of headstones tell stories of ultimate valor; it is our solemn duty to ensure none of those stories are forgotten.

Our mission goes beyond a single day of remembrance. Victory for Veterans is dedicated to saving lives through su***de prevention and healing the "invisible wounds" of our veterans and first responders. For every $2.00 donated to this program, $1.00 is directly allocated to support these life-saving mental health initiatives. By placing a rose on a grave, you aren't just honoring a hero of the past—you are helping to protect a hero of the present.

🌹 Join Our Mission: Deadline May 11, 2026

We are seeking national businesses, local corporations, and individual donors to help us reach our goal of adorning every grave at our 14 featured locations.

For Corporations & Businesses: Become a lead sponsor and demonstrate your commitment to those who served. Your contribution ensures that thousands of roses reach cemeteries from Houston National to Fort Snelling.

For Individual Donors: Every contribution counts. Join us in our effort to bring this tribute to 155 cemeteries over the coming years.

For Volunteers: We need boots on the ground! Sign up to help place flowers and experience a morning of deep gratitude and reflection.

Featured Cemeteries for 2026 Include:

Texas: Dallas Fort-Worth, Houston, Fort Sam Houston (San Antonio), Fort Bliss (El Paso), and Central Texas State (Killeen).

National: Fort Snelling (MN), Fort Logan (CO), Fort Custer (MI), Mound City (IL), Oakwood (NC), New Bern (NC), and Oregon Trail State (WY).

There are many patriotic holidays in addition to Independence Day, Flag Day and Veterans Day.

If you celebrate any of these lesser-known patriotic days at your Auxiliary and/or with your Post, let us know! We would love to share your stories and pictures on our social media and in our E-Newsletter. Email them to us at [email protected] with Auxiliaries in Action and/or the name of the holiday in the subject line.

Find this graphic (and a similar one with a list of patriotic birthdays, including those of each military branch) in MALTA under Member Resources: Americanism.

(Please note that this list cannot include every patriotic/American holiday and still fit on one page in a font easy enough to read; we have included as many as we could, but welcome suggestions for more or photos from events celebration others. Thank you!)
