โ๏ธHAPPY SUMMER, PANTHERS!โ๏ธ
What a year it has been! From the first day of school to the final bell, our students grew academically, socially, and as leaders. We laughed together, learned together, celebrated together, and created memories that will echo through our halls for years to come.
To our students:
Read books, play outside, sleep in a little, make memories, and enjoy every second of your summer adventure. You earned it! ๐ด๐๐
And parentsโฆ
TAGโฆ YOUโRE IT. ๐
Thank you for trusting us with your children this year. Now itโs your turn to take over morning duty, cafeteria supervision, snack distribution, and enrichment activities until August. Godspeed. ๐ซก๐
From all of us at North Riverside Elementary, thank you for an unforgettable school year. We love our Panther family and cannot wait to see everyone back for another incredible year ahead!

๐โค๏ธ HOUSE CHAMPIONS โค๏ธ๐
History has officially been written at North Riverside Elementary!
After an incredible year filled with teamwork, spirit, leadership, effort, integrity, and excellenceโฆ the very first North Riverside House Competition Champion isโฆ ๐ฆ HOUSE OF TERRA ๐ฆ
The House of Teamwork rose to the top through determination, unity, school spirit, positive behavior, attendance, academic growth, and relentless effort. From competitions to celebrations, Terra showed what can happen when students work together toward a common goal.
Congratulations to every student, staff member, and family who represented Terra this year. Your red pride echoed through the halls like a victory drumline. โค๏ธ๐ฅ
And to all of our Houses... Eureka, Lumos, Iveron, Ember, and Terra... this was only Year 1. The arena has opened. The banners are flying. Next yearโs competition begins soon. ๐๐ฐ

Today, North Riverside rolled out the blue carpet for the House of Eureka Invitational Party! ๐โจ
We celebrated more than 100 students who finished the year ON or ABOVE grade level in BOTH Reading and Math... an incredible accomplishment that deserves to be recognized in a BIG way!
Students enjoyed blue snacks, music, games, laughter, and a whole lot of celebration as we honored the hard work, growth, and determination it took to reach this milestone. The energy in the room was electric. These students truly felt like ROCKSTARS today, and they earned every moment of it.
At North Riverside, we believe academic excellence should be celebrated loudly and proudly. The House of Eureka represents Excellence, and today our students showed exactly what that looks like. ๐
We are so proud of our Panthers and thankful for the teachers and families who helped support them every step of the way!

Today, we had the honor of welcoming back the incredible Class of 2026 for our Senior Walk! ๐โจ
Watching these students walk the halls once again, now wearing caps and gowns instead of little backpacks and sneakers, was a powerful reminder of how quickly time flies and how meaningful this journey truly is. Our Panthers looked up to you with wide eyes and big dreams, and you inspired every step along the way.
To the Class of 2026: congratulations on this milestone! Your hard work, perseverance, and growth have led you to this moment, and we could not be more proud of you. As you prepare to step into your next chapter, carry your memories, friendships, and lessons with confidence and purpose.
Wherever life takes you next, may you find success, happiness, and opportunities bigger than your imagination. Once a Panther, always a Panther. ๐พ

[6:22 p.m.] All students have been picked up from the impacted schools, and Fort Worth PD has confirmed that they have a subject in custody. For questions regarding other schools that were not placed on a secure lockout, please know that Keller ISD followed the guidance of FWPD throughout the afternoonโs event. We are grateful for their partnership and continued commitment to keeping our campuses safe.
Counselors will be available to support any students who need help processing their experience today.
[3:47 p.m.] All schools under a secure lockout will initiate dismissal beginning immediately, including Fossil Hill and Vista Ridge. Fort Worth PD will not allow buses to run and drop students off at bus stops, so Students will not be released to walk or ride their bikes home without a parent or guardian.
FWPD is watching the weather and is asking parents to pick up students by 4:15 p.m. in the event inclement weather enters the area. Students not picked up by 4:15 p.m. will remain at school until inclement weather passes. Please know that the 4:15 p.m. time may be adjusted based on weather forecasts.
[3:08 p.m.] The Fort Worth Police Department has instructed us that North Riverside Elementary, Basswood Elementary, Sunset Valley Elementary, Fossil Hill Middle School, and Vista Ridge Middle School are to remain in a secure lockout until further notice as police continue to search for a potentially armed suspect in the vicinity.
Parents are instructed not to come to the schools, and dismissal will be delayed until Fort Worth PD has cleared the schools to release students.
Please know that students are safe inside the schools. During a secure lockout, school continues as normal, but students are not allowed outside the building, and visitors are not allowed in. Students will continue to be engaged even if the secure lockout continues beyond dismissal time.
We encourage you to continue to check ParentSquare for the latest updates, including when your school has been cleared to release students.
