We believe in fresh opportunities! For families staying at The Morris Foundation Family Services Center, that is exactly what they get.
Take Veronica and John, for example. Along with their daughter, Willow, they are making the most of the resources and support available to them, like parenting classes and case management. "This place means everything," Veronica says.
Read how Veronica, John, and Willow are thriving, as well as other stories of inspiration in The Open Door Newsletter.

Nathaniel had a great idea. He saw a need and decided to do something about it.
As the 5th grade student council president at IDEA Edgecliff, Nathaniel put the challenge to his fellow students, who created a donation drive for the Shelter.
The result? An in-kind donation of over 25 cases of bottled water, a lot of hygiene kits, and a bunch of backpacks that will benefit our Shelter guests!
When one person chooses to care, it has a way of growing into something much larger. A simple idea can ripple outward, bringing hope, dignity, and encouragement to people you may never even meet. We are grateful to Nathaniel and his fellow classmates at IDEA Edgecliff!

A big thank you to our friends from the Baird - Fort Worth office for spending time on our campus helping out in our True Worth Place kitchen with food prep and meal service. Their team jumped in to help care for our guests in a meaningful way.
There are so many ways groups can volunteer at Presbyterian Night Shelter -- from serving meals and making hygiene kits to organizing the dispensary or helping with special projects throughout the year. Every act of service makes a difference for our guests and our community.

At Presbyterian Night Shelter, we know family stories are rarely simple.
Motherโs Day can be joyful, painful, healing, lonely, beautiful โ sometimes all at once.
For many in our community, this day may be spent far from loved ones, navigating hardship, rebuilding relationships, grieving loss, or working toward a more stable future for their children and families.
Today, we celebrate the mothers and caregivers who continue to show strength, love, and resilience even in the most difficult circumstances. And we extend compassion to those carrying grief, hurt, or absence today. We hold space for those for whom today is heavy.
No matter what this day means for you, we wish you kindness and peace.
Happy Motherโs Day.

Every Monday, we ring the bell of Hope Chapel one time for each person that has exited homelessness that week before. In the month of April, that bell rang 123 times, representing the 74 adults and 49 children whose journey has led them home.
We are grateful to our dedicated and caring staff who help guide these journeys every day.
