I am blessed to share that last month I was voted in as a Board Member for Yogi Squad!

Yogi Squad is on a mission to make yoga and mindfulness accessible to all children by equipping them with the tools to create their best life. Through yoga, mindfulness, movement, and children's literature, the organization creates safe and supportive spaces where kids can develop self-awareness, resilience, confidence, and connection.

I strongly believe we must invest in our children today because they are the lawyers, bankers, teachers, judges, entrepreneurs, and leaders of tomorrow. When we help children build confidence, emotional awareness, self-control, and healthy coping skills early in life, we are investing in a stronger future for all of us.

What makes this organization even more inspiring is that 100% of Yogi Squad's profits go directly toward funding programs in local schools. By combining yoga with storytelling and literacy, children are able to connect movement, mindfulness, creativity, and learning in a meaningful way.

I'm also incredibly inspired by our Founder & Executive Director, Brooke Blankenship, whose vision and dedication started this organization from the ground up. This year, Yogi Squad celebrated 7 years of impact, growth, and service to children and families in our communities.

I'm excited to continue this important work alongside such passionate individuals and help expand the organization's impact even further in the years ahead.

BUT yes before y’all ask, I have still been continuing to do God’s work 🙏 Blessed beyond words even in the chaos. We move!!!

I am honored to share that I have been elected as a Board Member for Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains.

Being a youth advocate and mentor has always been at the heart of who I am, and I am truly proud to serve in this role. I believe deeply that our young girls are our future, and we all share a responsibility to be intentional stewards of their growth, confidence, and leadership journeys.

I step into this opportunity during a season of transition and momentum. Becky is closing an incredible chapter after 40 years of dedicated service, and her legacy will continue to inspire so many. I am also looking forward to working alongside Jamie as she begins her role as CEO, as well as Chairwoman Jan and the entire GSTOP team.

I am grateful for the opportunity to contribute and to support the mission of empowering young girls to lead with courage, confidence, and character.

Ser defensor y mentor de la juventud siempre ha estado en el corazón de quien soy, y me llena de orgullo servir en este rol. Creo profundamente que nuestras niñas son nuestro futuro, y todos compartimos la responsabilidad de ser guardianes intencionales de su crecimiento, confianza y desarrollo como líderes.

Today’s Annual Meeting of Girl Scouts of Texas Oklahoma Plains at the Fort Worth Zoo left me feeling hopeful.

There is so much to celebrate, from the incredible impact across our communities to the bold and inspiring vision for 2030. A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated volunteers who bring this mission to life every day. It was also a special moment to celebrate outgoing CEO Becky for her leadership and contributions, and to welcome incoming CEO Jamie as she begins this new journey. Hearing from keynote speaker Bonnie, CEO of Girl Scouts USA, was a powerful reminder of the importance of investing in girls and their limitless potential.

I am honored and grateful to have been voted in as a board member. Girl Scouts has always held a special place in my life through my family. My sister was a proud Girl Scout and my niece is a proud Cadette, and I have seen firsthand the confidence and strength this organization builds.

If we want a brighter future, we must invest in our children. Proud to support a mission that is shaping the leaders of tomorrow.
