Happy Pride! We can't wait to celebrate with our Near Southside neighbors at this year's Trinity Pride on June 27th - we're bringing the crafts!
If you (or your kids) are under 25, we'll also see you at Youth Pride Picnic on June 20th! Register through LGBTQ SAVES.
Check out 's calendar for so many more events this month!
And also, don't forget that Pride is more than just a good time - the BEST way to celebrate as an ally is to support the work of organizations providing affirming, life-saving support to our LGBTQIA+ community. Their work is absolutely critical right now, and resources are limited.
Give OUT Day is June 4th, but early giving is open NOW! Visit giveoutday.org and give to our local friends Finn's Place, LGBTQ SAVES, and North Texas TRANSportation Network.
Feel free to add other orgs you're giving to in the comments!
And finally, to our q***r community - You are valid. You are beautiful. We love you!

That's a wrap on Classroom Cleanout! We've had two weeks of no-appointment-needed donations to help our teachers get cleaned out at the end of school year, and we've loved seeing all our sweet friends come through. Big thanks to everyone who waited patiently in line to donate, and the superhero volunteers who've helped us manage all the stuff!
Still have materials to donate? No problem! Just make an appointment at thewelmanproject.org/givestuff
We still have a lot to sort through, so please sign up to volunteer at thewelmanproject.org/volunteer
Happy Summer!!!

School librarian Kirsten Murphy was the very first educator we served back in 2016 when The Welman Project was just a wild idea, and last week she was first in line to shop when we opened in our new home! Cue the waterworks all around.
Dedicated educators like Ms. Murphy are the reason Welman exists a decade later, and why our new space is so important. Teachers deserve all the support and love in the world, and we're here to give them all we can.
Wanna be part of this one-of-a-kind teacher support system? Come shop in our Curiosity Shop, sign up to volunteer, send your kids to our summer camp, or donate funds! Every bit helps keep our (new!) doors open.

Wow, WHAT A WEEK! From our Housewarming Celebration last Saturday to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony on Tuesday and the reopening of our doors to our community of educators, artists, and neighbors, The Welman Project is overwhelmed by the love and support y’all have brought to our new space. It takes all of us to fill a classroom, not a landfill, and it’s such an incredible feeling to know that all of you are standing right here with us, knowing that together, we can make a real impact. 💛
Thank you to every single person who has ever volunteered, donated materials, donated dollars, shopped the educator warehouse or Curiosity Shop, spent time in our makerspace, or shared The Welman Project with someone else. You are all a part of The Welman Project’s story, and we’re so lucky to know you.
Thank you to Carpenter’s Cafe & Catering for the fabulous charcuterie spread, thank you to Vision & Verve for providing a dose of whimsy with a 12 foot cat puppet, and thank you for the encouraging, too-kind words from our friends at the Fort Worth Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Councilwoman Jeanette Martinez's team, and Near Southside, Fort Worth, who have welcomed us to the neighborhood with open arms. I’M NOT CRYING, YOU ARE!
If you’re just now catching up, The Welman Project and The Welman Curiosity Shop have REOPENED in our new home at 2109 S Main Street, Fort Worth, 76110!
Donation appointments, volunteer shifts, and shopping in the free educator warehouse & Welman Curiosity Shop are all back, and we’ve missed you so much! Visit thewelmanproject.org/links to sign up for a volunteer shift, schedule a donation appointment, sign up for a class or camp in our makerspace (Registration for Wellie Wonder Summer Camp 2026 is still open!), subscribe to our newsletter, or donate funds to support our mission to fill a classroom, not a landfill.
